I am a mother, a web developer, a designer, a photographer, an artist of many mediums.
My interests range from camping and hiking, to photography and video games. I am also a wagering enthusiast and a huge sportsfan. I am completely obsessed with the Boston Red Sox, and I have often frightened friends and family with my antics during the post-season. Specifically in 2004, when as you probably are aware, my beloved Red Sox broke the curse of The Great Bambino. As usual, I digress.
My interests don't come down to one area of geekiness, and I started designing web pages because I started a guild in an online role-playing game (an MMORPG for the other nerds out there), known as EverQuest. I designed and put together the website in Notepad, checking out source codes of other sites to figure it all out.
I am completely self-taught, although I did go to school for Media Arts and Web Design later on, I figured there had to be something I missed somewhere along the way! I am still learning, as the web changes, and I love it! I currently have a working knowledge in programming dynamic sites in Ruby on Rails. I still love design and marketing, but it's nice to be able to take my ideas from mock-up to functional all on my own.
